NOTES

Garden – The Community Garden across the road from the hall is producing! So far radish, lettuce, peas, zucchini, cucumbers, beans, tomatoes and spinach have been available. When produce is picked, it is put in coolers at the community mailboxes at the hall and notification is put on Facebook, including the Miltonvale Park Residents private group. If anyone is interested in helping harvest and weed the garden, please contact Shari at admin@miltonvalepark.com.

For Miltonvale Park residents, if money or transportation is a barrier to any of the Milton Community Hall MVP (Most Valuable People) events, please let us know and we will do what we can to ensure that everyone can participate. Email MiltonMVPs@gmail.com.

Sign up for regular (approx. weekly) emails from the municipality listing events and reminders by emailing admin@miltonvalepark.com.

Activities in the Miltonvale Park in the Movies have been partly funded by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program.

Activities in the Milton Hall MVP project have received funding from the PEI Alliance for Mental Well-Being, and are coordinated by Peggy Chen, MiltonMVPs@gmail.com.

WANT TO HELP??

Do you like to paint? The summer students are mostly done, but painting still remains. If you want to help put white stain on the long walls of the hall, please touch base at miltoncommunityhall@gmail.com or 902-566-3154

Do you have a green thumb?  Would you be interested in helping to harvest the garden? The produce is for folks who can use it, with some being used for hall projects, such as a planned preserving session. Produce can be picked up from the cooler(s) at the mailboxes at the Milton Community Hall, and sometimes at Meadowvale Park. If you want to lend a hand, the lower half of the garden (furthest from Rte. 7) is for community use as most of the upper section has been planted for individual use. If you can help - contact Shari at 902-368-3090 or admin@miltonvalepark.com. Also – We are supposed to be reporting the amount of produce grown in the garden (for the funders)-so if you pick some… please keep track of the amounts and report to me!

Would you like to help organize the car rally? Tentatively set for Sept. 21. Contact admin@miltonvalepark.com.

Do you have any favourite movies to suggest for Sunday nights that the hall is not booked, for the Movie Nights?

Best wishes for a successful school year!
