“A Down Home Christmas” -  Milton Community Hall – November 30, 2019

Celebrate the special magic and music of the season with Janet McGarry & Wildwood as they present  “A Down Home Christmas”.  This popular long-running holiday show is hosted by Janet McGarry and her husband Serge Bernard and features Classic Country and Old time Bluegrass favourites, and they will be at the Milton Community Hall on Saturday, November 30th at 7:30 pm.

Janet McGarry is an acclaimed female vocalist, whose song catalogue now includes over 150 song titles and several CDs, collaborations and special appearances highlighting a near 20-year recording career. "Wildwood Rose"  captured album of the year and this year, her band Wildwood garnered gospel performance of the year at the Eastern Canada Bluegrass Music Awards.

Janet & Serge will be joined on stage with Wildwood band mates Gail Mullen on bass and vocals and Jason Ramsay on guitar.  They will be presenting a unique selection of seasonal music and stories from the early days of country and old time music heard from deep in the hills of Appalachia.

And what’s more fun and a sure way to get into the Christmas spirit than singing together?   Guests are also invited to join in for a few sing-along favorites with the band.

The hall is located at 7A New Glasgow Road, Route 224, in North Milton, and is wheelchair accessible.  A canteen service is available.  Admission is $12.00 at the door.  For more information, please contact the hall at 902-566-3154 or miltoncommunityhall@gmail.com.

Please check the miltonvalepark.com website for the regulations or contact the Development Officer at the Milton Community Hall on Mondays from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

The next two meetings are Oct 16 and November 20 at 7:30 p.m. Planning Board meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:30; however, will not meet if there is no need.
