Milton Community Hall Lobster Take-Out - Saturday, May 6th - tickets $20. 1 lb fresh lobster (cracked, in the shell), salads, roll and dessert. Drop by the hall or check with someone on the hall committee to buy your tickets by May 3rd. $20. Meals can be picked up at the hall on Saturday between 3-4 p.m. or arrangements can be made for local delivery.902-566-3154. (Dependant on the opening date of the season)

Annual Meeting for the Community of Miltonvale Park - Thursday, March 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the Milton Community Hall (7 New Glasgow Road-Rte 224 North Milton). Sing-Song Ping-Pong at the Milton Community Hall - Saturday, March 25 at 7:30 p.m. Admission $10. created and performed by Pamela Campbell and Nancy Beck with piano recordings by Audrey Gillis and presented by Young at Heart Musical Theatre.  In Sing-Song Ping-Pong a bad cell phone connection leads to a one-of-a-kind comic competition. Veteran performers Pamela Campbell and Nancy Beck face off, singing all their favourite songs while challenging each other's athletic abilities. As they vie for supremacy in baseball, basketball, and fencing, Campbell and Beck keep their eyes on the real prize – leading the audience in a good old-fashioned sing-along. "Side by Side", "Pack up Your Troubles", "Sentimental Journey", and "Danny Boy" are just a few of the many popular standards the dueling duo hit out of the park in Sing-Song Ping-Pong. World Home Economics Day Celebration -Join the members of the PEI Home Economics Association at the Milton Community Hall on Monday, March 20 at 6:00 p.m. to mark World Home Economics Day with a meatless pot luck supper and a presentation by guest speaker George Meggison, from the Office of Energy Efficiency PEI. The international theme for 2017 is "Home Economics Literacy - Empowering for Healthy and Sustainable Lifestyles." Storm date March 21. For more information, contact 902-213-0597.

 

Meatball Mania - Community Kitchen - Milton Community Hall - Wednesday March 15 - 10:30 a.m.

Residents of Miltonvale Park aged 50 +, as well as friends and neighbours of the community are invited to take part in a community kitchen on Wednesday March 15 beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Milton Community Hall. People come together to cook a variety of dishes in large quantities. A lunch meal is eaten and food is packaged and divided to be shared among participants, and with seniors in the community. This event is hosted by the Community of Miltonvale Park and funded in part by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors program. Learn to be Knotty - Join the seniors (50+) of Miltonvale Park and members of the Wheatley River 4-H Club in a "Learn to Be Knotty" event at the Milton Community Hall on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Come try your hand at basic embroidery stitches and learn about knots used in fishing from retired fisherman Edwin Wall, who will also tell about lobster fishing and display several of his model boats. Those skilled at embroidery are most welcome to come mentors others who are learning. This is a drop in event - and lunch will be available. This event is free for members of the 4-H Club and their families and free for residents of Miltonvale Park, and by donation for others.
