If you like the idea of growing more of your own food in a practical self-sustaining way, with no tilling and a lot less work but still produces lots of food; then you will want to attend Diane’s

presentation! Five years ago, Diane created a Permaculture Food Forest in her back yard and the benefits have been amazing.

The Food Forest was built on the Permaculture principals; which is an ecosystem built using edible perennials like (fruit trees, berry shrubs, herbs, medicinal plants, flowers and more.)

After the presentation, we will have the Q&A part in the Milton community garden if the weather permits. Diane also will provide a handout which includes the key information presented and references where you can find more information on Food Forests.

Free for Miltonvale Park residents (Please provide your civic address when you register), who also get priority booking. By donation for others. The seats are limited, please RSVP to Peggy at MiltonMVPs@gmail.com by Wednesday, May 8.

PEI Mutual Festival of Small Halls - Reels n’ Ragtime.  Tuesday June 18, 2024 · $30 - Milton Community Hall. There’s power in twos. The Vaudevillain and Cassie & Maggie are two duos who have perfected their act with extensive touring to festivals across North America and Europe. The Vaudevillian are a Ragtime Blues pair who play a mean washboard, resonator guitar, banjo and musical spoons, bringing us back to the prohibition days. Travel to the Dirty 30’s with this eccentric act unlike anything you’ve seen! Then, get your hands and feet ready for the Celtic stylings of sisters Cassie & Maggie. Their fiery talent is only surpassed by the joy they exude in performance as the two bounce between guitar, piano, fiddle, singing and stepping. It’s another legendary Small Halls mixer in Milton! The hall now has tickets ($30) or you can buy them online now, though there is an extra fee.
