ARCH Association Manager -Temporary

280 hours - 8 weeks at 35 hours @$13.50/hour

The worker (aged 15-30) will be a support person for rural halls on PEI for an 8-week position (35 hours/week) before Feb 26, 2022. The worker will be responsible for contacting all the Island Halls and updating contact information. The youth will survey halls to determine priorities for further training and share information regarding best practices, regarding event organizing, promotion, working with volunteers, and other information useful to non-profit rural community halls, such as kitchen and liquor license regulations. The worker will assist halls in the promotion of their halls and events, and will gather information for and share with the halls. The worker will update the website and prepare a “How To” manual for halls to use the website features. The student will organize an in-person meeting, and guest speakers and facilitate information sharing. If requested by member halls, the youth can also assist with hall events. Based at the Milton Community Hall and can include some work at home. Bilingualism is an asset.

Must be eligible through the Canada Summer Jobs Program.

(a) is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;

(b) is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*; and

(c) is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations. *International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.
