Miltonvale Park & Milton Community Hall – Events – October 13. 2023

The Miltonvale Community Park still has some small tomatoes and zucchini and baby carrots in the section that has the black weed barrier that people can help themselves to them.

Coffee –Visit neighbors each Monday and Friday from 10 -11 a.m. at the Milton Hall. Coffee, tea, and snacks are available by donation of coin or treats.

The Resourceful Homeowner - This series of classes will take place on Mondays from 7:30 -8:30 (usually at the hall). Free for Miltonvale Park Residents -by donations for others.RSVP to MiltonMVPs@gmail.com

October 16 class – Home Décor and Silicone  

Potential future classes:  Basic plumbing and electrical; Yard work and flower gardens;  Simple home updates, changing door knobs, caulking, spray foam, wallpaper, tiling; Cleaning, what and when, guest speaker- Peter McKenna -Answering questions 

Yoga with Leone – Tuesdays –9 a.m. Building Blocks of Yoga (mat) & 10:30 a.m. Chair Yoga. $6 Miltonvale Park residents and $7 for others.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meet at the Hall on Tuesdays at 6:15. For more information contact Joyce at 902-368-2055.

Weekly Wednesday Zumba Classes at take place at 5:30. The cost for Miltonvale Park residents is $2/class and non-residents are $5. Space is limited. Contact MiltonMVPs@gmail.com if you are interested. 

Seniors Fitness Classes with Michele Gallant - at 9 a.m. and take place on Mondays and Fridays. They focus on balance and flexibility and are lots of fun! Cost $6. If you are interested, please email admin@miltonvalepark.com.

Sunday, Oct.15 is the deadline to buy tickets for the next 50-50 twice-monthly draw. You can buy tickets at the hall-or send an e-transfer to miltoncommunityhall@gmail.com. $3 each or 2/$5.

Wednesday, Nov 1 is 4-H Day – and the day that the Wheatley River 4-H Club meets next at the Milton Community Hall at 6:45 (although there is a mini-dance and pizza on Oct 27 at 5:30). NEW! Music Theory -Have you ever wanted to learn the 'why' of music? To learn more about the structure of how music is put together? Join Marti Hopson, composer and music teacher, to find out more about the music building blocking including keys, scales, intervals and chords!

Milton Community Hall will host 4 classes on Music Theory in November, from 6:30-7:30 pm on Mondays, Nov 6, 13, 20, 27 at Milton Community Hall. Free for Miltonvale Park residents, by donation for others. Basic note reading is needed, though Marti will help you refresh if you are rusty! Milton Community Hall annual Christmas Craft Fair will be Saturday, Nov. 18, from 9- 3 p.m. Admission is $2 for those aged 13+. There will be door prizes and a canteen available.
