Municipal Election- Voting takes place at the advance poll at the Milton Community Hall on Saturday, Nov. 5th from 9 a.m. -1 p.m. and at the Election Poll -Monday, Nov. 7th from 9 a.m.- 7 p.m.

Mayor Hal Parker was elected by acclamation, but eligible voters (Canadian, 18, lived in PEI for 6 months and living in Miltonvale Park on November 7, 2022) can vote for up to SIX of the following eight councillors:

Electors who cannot prove their current address can bring two pieces of ID with their name and sign a declaration at the poll – form called Oath of Elector.

MORE INFO Did you miss the public meeting on Active Transportation? There was a great discussion on what would make walking and cycling safer, how or where to encourage snowshoeing or skiing. We talked about places that were particularly dangerous – and how to make it safer to get to the Confederation Trail…. If you have any thoughts on anything to do with human powered transportation, please send them along to the office  admin@miltonvalepark.com to be forwarded to the consultants in the next few days. Exercise classes have resumed on Mondays and Fridays at 9 a.m. with Michele Gallant. The focus is on balance and flexibility. The cost is $5. Drop in. No class on Monday, Nov, 7 or Fri. Nov 11.

Coffee -Visit neighbors each Monday and Friday from 10 -11a.m. at the Milton Hall. Coffee, tea, and snacks are available by donation of coin or treats. No coffee on Monday, November 7 or Fri. Nov. 11.

Yoga with Leone – Tuesdays ($6 for Miltonvale Park residents and $7- 8:30 a.m. Building Blocks of Yoga (on the mat) & at 10 a.m. Yoga using a Chair. FIRST CLASS FREE for Miltonvale Park Residents – send admin@miltonvalepark.com a note if you are planning to come for your free class.

Milton Community Hall Christmas Craft Fair – Friday November 11 – 2:30 p.m.- 8 p.m. and Saturday, November 12 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. $3 admission includes door prize tickets. Nov 15 is the hall’s next 50-50 twice-monthly draw. You can buy tickets at the hall -or send an e-transfer to miltoncommunityhall@gmail.com. $3 each or 2/$5.

MORE DETAILS - Scrapbooking Your Family History - Week 1 - Thursday - Nov 17 from 12:00 -1:30. Show & Tell ways to preserve memories using scrapbooking techniques (types of albums, page layouts, photographs (old and new), using memorabilia, adhesives, tools and supplies). Lunch and handouts provided.
Week 2 - Thurs Nov. 24 from 1:30-3:30. Hands on time to put together your own keepsake album using your family history and photographs. Find a style that suits you and get creative. Some supplies provided.

Resident Phil Jefferson is leading the workshop and intends to put together a book on Fiona’s impacts on Miltonvale Park. If you have hurricane pictures you would like to share for use in the book, can you please email them to him at Philip.jefferson@hotmail.com. His intent is to have the book available to purchase for a Miltonvale Park remembrance of the time.
