Community Garden Update -The garden is doing well, and we have been able to put some veggies near the community mailboxes at the hall. There are currently lots of zucchini! If you are interested in helping to harvest, for yourself or others, there are green beans that need picking -and a sign at the garden showing the location. As last year, the “community” section of the garden is the lower half (furthest from Rte. 7), while the “upper plots” and raised beds belong to individuals. For more information on the garden, contact Ryan at gardenatMVP@gmail.com

Miltonvale Park residents -Are you signing your children up for activities, classes, and lessons? Residents are entitled to $75/child/year to reimburse costs of extracurricular activities. https://miltonvalepark.com/for-residents/rebates-forms/

Radon – The municipality is participating in a campaign to happen in the fall of 2025, where we will have 100 radon detectors for residents to put in their homes for 100 days and then be sent off for results to be obtained (and emailed directly and confidentially back to residents). More information and registration details will follow – but if you want to be sure to get your name on the list, please email admin@miltonvalepark.com.

Be FIRESMART - The municipality now has magnets to give out to residents - with important contact information and the link to the FIRESMART website. With this hot, dry weather, residents should check out the information that may protect your home in the event of fire. https://firesmartcanada.ca/ Please be careful in these dry conditions. We did just wrestle a EMO box of 25 cots, blankets, pillows and EMO first aid and hygiene kits into the hall basement today… but we don’t want to have to use it!!

Have a great weekend!
