Weekly events:
Coffee Club – Mondays and Fridays at 10 a.m. Open to all - Admission by donation of treats or coin. Coffee Club on Monday, June 9 will start at 10:20 a.m., due to pole walking class.
Exercise Class- Wednesday AND Friday Seniors Fitness Classes with Michele at 9 a.m. Fee $6. Drop in for some chairs and balance fitness… and usually some laughs! Ends for the summer, May 30, 2025.
Summer Exercise - Gather as a group at the Milton Community Hall on Mondays and Fridays, beginning on Monday June 2 at 9 a.m. to exercise together to fitness videos on the big screen. Have problems staying motivated and exercising on your own? Join us. Cost $1.
Garden Work Times - Join Ryan in the community gardens (opposite the Milton Hall) on Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m.
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meet at the Hall on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. For more information contact Joyce at 902-368-2055.
Mindfulness on the Mat – Yoga on the Mat with Leone – Tuesdays 8:45 mat yoga ~ and 10:15 am for Yoga on the Chair. NEW time for FRIDAYS (upstairs)- mat -7:55 and chair 9:10 a.m. (There may be new times for Tuesdays as well…and if so, will email the people who have been attending yoga and we will change the time on the hall calendar https://miltoncommunityhall.ca/index.php?id=calendar)
Tuesday classes are hosted by Miltonvale Park and cost $10 for Miltonvale Park residents, $12 for others (Drop-in) on Tuesdays.

Zumba - with Natalia –Zumba fitness classes are weekly on Wednesdays from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. at the hall; $2 for residents, $5 for non-residents. Contact MiltonMVPs@gmail.com to sign up.
Sunday Night Movies – Most Sunday evenings at 6:30. Free for Miltonvale Park residents and by donation for others.
Pickleball - Miltonvale Community Park (413 Sleepy Hollow Rd.)
Weekly Schedule:
Sunday Afternoons 1 pm-3 pm open play;
Monday evenings 6 pm-8 pm open play
Tuesday morning 9 am-12 pm open play.
Wednesday evenings 6 pm-8 pm open play
Thursday morning 9 am-12 pm open play
Friday evening 6 pm-8 pm open play
Saturday morning 9 am-12 pm open play
If sufficient people are not there by 10 minutes after start time there will be no play.
The rates are $30 for the season, and $3 drop-in. Players must be paid up 2025 members of Pickleball Canada. Dues may be paid by e-transfer to Ernie at colesernie@bellaliant.net

Knitting - Stella is back with beginner knitting classes for adults on Wednesdays on June 4 from 5:30- 7 p.m. Free for Miltonvale Park residents and by donation for others. Space is limited and priority will be given to Miltonvale Park residents.
Weekly card parties - Come play Auction on Thursdays, beginning June 3 at 7:30. Admission -$4.
Special Events:
Sunday, May 25 at 6:30 p.m. Sunday night movie - “Crazy Rich Asians” Free for Miltonvale Park residents, by donation for others. Funded in part by the Province of Prince Edward Island. The municipality intend to show movies with an international connection on some Sundays, so would love to hear suggestions, especially from residents with roots in other countries. admin@miltonvalepark.com.
Monday, May 26 at 7 p.m. - Milton Community Hall Board Meeting. We are happy to hear suggestions for events, or improvements at the hall. Please email miltoncommunityhall@gmail.com.
Tues., May 27 at 1 p.m. – International Cooking with Margaret Prouse. Free for Miltonvale Park residents and by donation for others, if space is available. Funded in part by the Province of Prince Edward Island. RSVP to admin@miltonvalepark.com by TODAY - Friday, May 23.
Wednesday, May 28 at 6:30 p.m. - The Cornwall and Area Watershed Group (CAWG) AGM (Annual General Meeting) takes place at the Cornwall Town Hall. CAWG is the Watershed group that covers most of Miltonvale Park. The PEI Invasive Species Council will also share tips on identifying and managing invasive species on your property. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome!
Thurs., May 29 – 5 p.m. Supper Club Miltonvale Park’s CHAT and GBT -Growing Better Together Project will see approximately 40 Miltonvale Park seniors come together to cook and eat supper and enjoy an activity/speaker nine times over the next year. Funded by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program. Residents can register -Deadline 9 a.m. Monday, May 26 to admin@miltonvalepark.com or 902-368-3090. Take-outs are available to Miltonvale Park shut-ins. As spaces are limited, Miltonvale Park residents will have priority access. Please let us know if you would like to help prepare the meal. Not sure of the menu yet!
Saturday, May 31 is the deadline for the Milton Community Hall’s next 50-50 draw - Drop by the hall to buy tickets or e-transfer ($3 each or 2/$5) to Miltoncommunityall@gmail.com. Licence number 17179 (There were no draws lately as we were between licences). Those who had prepaid for tickets will have them entered in the draw which will take place June 1 (and if they had purchased a series of tickets - their series will be extended to make up for the missed draws). Thanks for your support!
June - ParticipACTION and their Community Challenge will once again see Miltonvale Park residents and friends try to win Canada’s Most Active Community (We are aiming to win PEI’s $15,000 prize!!)
We are finalizing dates and information for chair step dancing, the annual Move More than the Mayor contest, and a virtual walk across Canada to Mount Milton in BC! Watch for details - or sign up with Zach at MiltonvalePark.staff@gmail.com and he can contact you with details as the other events (maybe waltz or hip hop classes) get finalized!
FREE Beginner line dancing will take place on Mondays from 6:30 -8 p.m. June 2,9,16, and 23. Miltonvale Park residents have priority registration (must register by TONIGHT May 23 - as confirmations are going out this weekend), but others are welcome to submit their names for the waiting list to admin@miltonvalepark.com or 902-368-3090
Margie Cain is going to lead pole walking classes in an introductory series so folk can learn good techniques. The municipality and hall have 8 pairs of poles and we may be able to borrow more, if needed. Classes take place on Monday, June 9 at 9 a.m. and Friday, June 13 at 1 p.m. Register for both classes (a series of two) with miltonvalepark.staff@gmail.com, letting Zack know if you are a Miltonvale Park resident, and if you need to borrow walking poles.

Friday, June 13 is the deadline for Miltonvale Park to receive nominations for the Volunteer of the Year and the Good Neighbour Award. These are presented at Canada Day. Nominations are accepted from residents of Miltonvale Park. Forms can be found at the Milton Community Hall and online at https://miltonvalepark.com/for-residents/volunteer-recognition-award/
Saturday, June 14 from 12:00 pm - 3:00 p.m. Cornwall Watershed Group - Lend a hand and help the Cornwall and Area Watershed Group clean up Hyde Creek! Collect litter and receive native wildflower seeds as a thank you for your efforts. Supplies are limited, so come early if you can. Staff will be set up in two locations: Hydes Pond (Pond Street Parking Lot) and Cornwall Community Gardens (Macarthur Drive). All are welcome!
Miltonvale Park Car Show – Saturday, June 14 from 12-4 at CMP Parking Lot, North York River Road, Rain date -Sunday, June 15. Admission is $2/person or $5/family or donations to the Food Bank. Live music! Vehicle Registration is $20 or $15 if done in advance to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MVPCAR. Funds raised will be donated to the Upper Room Food Bank.
FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY- Miltonvale Park is looking for someone connected to the community to host the canteen. Food Safety Certification is required. For more details, please contact admin@miltonvalepark.com. The North Rustico Food Market has volunteered to provide food for the canteen at cost.

Radon - The municipality has just signed up for a campaign to happen in the fall of 2025, where we will have 100 radon detectors for residents to put in their homes for 100 days and then be sent off for results to be obtained (and emailed directly and confidentially back to residents). More information and registration details will follow - but if you want to be sure to get your name on the list, please email admin@miltonvalepark.com.
