Coffee Club – Mondays and Fridays at 10 a.m. Open to all – Admission by donation of treats or coin.
Square Dancing – Christine hosts square dance sessions on Tuesdays, on the 2nd floor from 3-4 p.m. Contact cmr.belanger@outlook.com. $5. Ends May 13.
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meet at the Hall on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. For more information contact Joyce at 902-368-2055.
Mindfulness on the Mat – Yoga on the Mat with Leone –Tuesdays and Fridays 8:45 and Yoga on the Chair 10:15. Tuesday classes are hosted by Miltonvale Park and cost $10 for Miltonvale Park residents, $12 for others (Drop-in) on Tuesdays. Contact LightLivingWithLeone@gmail.com for information on Friday classes, which are $13 drop-in fee or are also priced for a series of classes. Chair Yoga classes on Tuesdays are held on the main level when possible.
Wednesday AND Friday Seniors Fitness Classes with Michele at 9 a.m. Fee $6. Drop in for some chair and balance fitness… and usually some laughs! Ends May 30, 2025

Sunday, May 4 – Movie – Rocketman – 6:30 Free for Miltonvale Park residents. Others by donation. The film follows the fantastical journey of transformation from shy piano prodigy Reginald Dwight into international superstar Elton John. This inspirational story – set to Elton John’s most beloved songs and performed by star Taron Egerton – tells the universally relatable story of how a small-town boy became one of the most iconic figures in pop culture. ROCKETMAN also stars Jamie Bell as Elton’s longtime lyricist and writing partner Bernie Taupin, Richard Madden as Elton’s first manager, John Reid, and Bryce Dallas Howard as Elton’s mother Sheila Farebrother.
Milton Community Hall Annual Lobster Takeout -Saturday, May 10. $30. SOLD OUT – If you have ordered meals, pick-up takes place from 2-3:30. NEW – May 10 is the annual PEI Women’s Institute Roadside Clean up Day. The yellow WI Clean up bags are available at the Milton Community Hall (inside and hopefully always in stock at the blue bulletin board outside). If someone is at the hall and heading near the other blue welcome signs (Old Rte. 2/Crabbe Rd or North York River Road), feel free to grab some bags to stock those places. Please don’t put the yellow bags in your black cart, or the cart will be rejected. Please leave them in a safe place along the side of the road. Snap a photo of you with a yellow clean up bag and send it to WIContests@gmail.com for a chance to win a PEI Food Island gift card. You can begin clean up now. Some bags may be picked up as provincial staff happen by, but they will be picked up from roadsides after May 10. You can also use your own clear bags for the clean up.

NEW – Tuesday, May 13 at 5 p.m. First meeting – Are you interested in joining a Garden Club? Join Ryan for garden soup and rolls, to plant some planters for seniors, discuss the community garden and what you would like to get out of a Garden Club. RSVP to GardenatMVP@gmail.com or 902-368-3090. Funded by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program. The garden has been tilled – and if you want more information or to be involved in the garden, contact Ryan at GardenatMVP@gmail.com Ryan intends to have Tuesdays from 10-11:30 as a regular drop in for collective gardening, beginning May 20.

Wednesday, May 14 at 1 p.m.– Join Miltonvale Park in making fringed blankets for Family Violence Prevention Week. Thurs., May 29 – Supper Club -Watch for details. Miltonvale Park’s CHAT and GBT -Growing Better Together Project will see approximately 40 Miltonvale Park seniors come together to cook and eat supper and an activity nine times over the next year.
June – ParticipACTION and their Community Better Challenge will once again see Miltonvale Park residents and friends try to win Canada’s Most Active Community (We are really aiming to win PEI!!) We are planning some dance classes, pole walking, the annual Move More than the Mayor contest and a virtual walk across this great country to Mount Milton in BC! Watch for details. FREE Beginner line dancing will take place on Mondays from 6:30 -8 p.m. June 2,9,16, and 23. Summer Jobs – Interested in working at the hall or community park this summer? Currently, we are hiring for a 12-week position at Milton Community Hall and a 14-week one with ARCH, through the Post Secondary Student Program as well as approx. 8 weeks at the community park.
