WEEKLY Events:
Exercise class – Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays at 9 a.m. Michele Gallant leads seniors chair and balance class on Mondays and Wednesdays -Cost $6. Work out with others to an exercise class on the big screen on Friday. Cost – $1. No need to register – just drop in! Wed, Michele’s classes take a break for the holidays, with the final class of 2025 being Dec. 10. There may be video classes later into December.
Coffee Club – Mondays and Fridays at 10 a.m. Open to all – Admission by donation of treats or coins.
Monday Line Dancing (FULL) at 1:30
Tuesdays - at 2 p.m. Square dancing classes. (Upstairs). For more information, contact Christine at cmr.belanger@outlook.com.
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meet at the Hall on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. For more information, contact Joyce at 902-368-2055. Meetings will be upstairs, until December 16, due to practices on the Main Floor for the Solstice Walk.
Wednesdays -Happy Dance with Sylvie 4 p.m. (until Dec. 17) and Zumba with Natalia - 5:30 p.m. Free for Miltonvale Park residents, $5 for others. For more information contact MiltonMVPS@gmail.com.

TUESDAYS 8:30 a.m. - Mat. and 10 a.m. -Chair - cost $10 for Miltonvale Park residents,$12 for others (Drop-in) on Tuesdays.

PLEASE NOTE: Furnace at Hall - The furnace at the hall is not working today, and a new control panel is needed. The technician is not sure how long that will take. We will be using the heat pumps exclusively - except the one in the FCC Room upstairs also broke this week, with a repair tech coming for it on Dec. 16. Some areas of the hall may be cooler than usual, as we are relying on portable heaters( esp. the main washrooms, Development Office, stairway and FCC Room. Sorry for any inconvenience -but you may want to bring a sweater or wear warm socks!
Friday, Dec 5 - The hall may need a few vegetable scoopers, servers or dishwashers for a meal they are catering Friday at 6. If you can lend a hand, please contact miltoncommunityhall@gmail.com or 902-566-3154. Thanks!
NEW - Sunday, December 7 at 6:30 p.m. - Sunday Movie -Ben is Back Ben Is Back (2018) is an emotional family drama starring Julia Roberts, Lucas Hedges and Courtney B. Vance.that follows Holly Burns, a devoted mother whose world is shaken when her 19-year-old son Ben unexpectedly returns home from rehab on Christmas Eve. Though overjoyed to see him, Holly quickly realizes that Ben’s addiction is far from under control. Over the next 24 hours, she must navigate a tense, heartbreaking battle to keep him safe while confronting the painful consequences of his past. Thurs., Dec 11 – Dreamcatcher Workshop 9 a.m. Join Indigenous artist Misit Myers, for a workshop to make a Dreamcatcher. Space is limited. The fee is $10 for Miltonvale Park residents aged 55+, and $20 for others if space is available. Funded in part by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program. TODAY DEC. 4 is the LAST DAY TO REGISTER!! Thurs. Dec 11 – Seniors Community Meal hosted by the Milton Community Hall. The meal will be roast beef, and will be eat-in at 6 or take out from 5-5:30 with delivery available for Miltonvale Park shut-ins. Bryson Guptill (who usually plays for the Miltonvale Park Canada Day Celebrations!) will provide entertainment after the meal., beginning about 7 p.m. Register here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MiltonSr3 This free meal for seniors is funded by the Province of PEI. Priority is for Miltonvale Park seniors. There are currently no more spots available for non-residents (and no room for some non-residents who have already registered - sorry!). Confirmations should be going out by Dec. 6. Anyone is welcome to attend Bryson’s FREE musical performance. NEW - Sunday, December 14 at 6:30 p.m. - Sunday Movie - The Man Who Invented Christmas - This movie tells of the magical journey that led to the creation of Ebenezer Scrooge , Tiny Tim and other classic characters from A Christmas Carol. Directed by Bharat Nalluri , the film shows how Charles Dickens mixed real life inspirations with his vivid imagination to conjure up unforgettable characters and a timeless tale, forever changing the holiday season into the celebration we know today. FREE for Miltonvale Park Residents and by donation for others.

Thursday, December 18 - Newcomer Christmas Traditions Tea 10 a.m. Come learn, share, or celebrate Christmas traditions. All newcomers to the area are welcome to come and share how they celebrate their traditions! Everyone is welcome to attend. Funded in part by the Government of Prince Edward Island. Free. We have confirmed panelists from Bolivia and China, and welcome newcomers to PEI to also be a panelist (approx. 10 minute presentation) although everyone will have an opportunity to briefly share their Christmas traditions, if they would like to. Thursday, Jan. 8 (Storm date 15th) 6-7:30 p.m. Design 101 -Tips & Tricks to Bring Your Personality into your Home with Sue Pitchforth of Decor Therapy Plus. Open Seat Mindful Meal, January 10 -Peggy has acquired funding for the Milton Community Hall, through ChangeX, funded by the Paramount Foundation, for an Open Seat Mindful Meal, tentatively scheduled for January 10, 2025. What is a mindful meal? Mindful Meals is a dinner event where participants are invited to engage in meaningful conversations about being mindful rather than reactive while navigating personal or communal challenges. The focus of these gatherings is not on the specific conditions that give rise to problems, nor on finding solutions for these problems, but on identifying and developing healthy mental responses. Tuesday, January 13 -Mitlonvale Park Seniors Supper Club- Registration is not open yet.
4-H Leader Nancy Hooper is spearheading a fundraiser for the Central 4-H region, making and selling cat and dog bandanas, with the help of 4-Hers, alumni and parents. There are still a few at the hall. Prices are a great bargain at $5.
Miltonvale Community Park – The park is no longer staffed, but will be checked sporadically. If you are there and notice it needs attention, please contact admin@miltonvalepark.com, 902-368-3090 or 902-213-0597. The walking trail and parking lot have recently been paved. Please do not drive vehicles on the paved trail.
