More details and photos of the very pretty fabric are on the Facebook event page https://www.facebook.com/events/246628081251531?ref=newsfeed (and don't worry about pre-registering -though it does help me figure out if I need to panic about rolls/biscuits and dessert!) Thanks to the Premier's Action Committee on the Prevention of Family Violence for the mini-grant that helped buy some of the fabric. Special thanks to Linda Sullivan who actually did lots of the shopping and most of the trimming and fringing - that is a lot of chopping!

June is ParticipACTION's Community Challenge. The municipality will be hosting lots of events through the month of June - and are delighted to be able to distribute about 40 FREE PEI National Park Family Passes. The focus of the funded program this year is on removing barriers and increasing physical activity and sport participation and retention for equity-deserving groups. For the purpose of ParticipACTION, these are members of the Black, Indigenous, 2SLGBTQQIA+, and racialized communities, newcomers to Canada, low-income populations, and people with a disability. We would like to see people who receive the passes download the ParticipACTION app, if possible (well -really we would like all our residents to download the app so we could win the $15,000 Provincial prize!!). Residents are invited to apply here for a free PEI National Park Pass (one family OR up to two single passes per household - Youth under 17 do not need a pass)

We are also hoping to organize some Sunday morning pick up ball games - so please send me a note if that interests you.

On Canada Day we are also looking for jugglers, clowns... to create a circus-like atmosphere... if this sounds like something that you or someone you know might be interested in learning more about, please contact admin@miltonvalepark.com.
