Summer Job Opportunities -Apply May 22

The Milton Community Hall Summer Manager will be responsible for assisting the volunteer board with the organizing, management and promotion of events at the hall –such as card parties, concerts, socials, musical events, weddings, coffee club, yard sales, Canada 150 events, and other community events. The student will develop a volunteer manual and a maintenance calendar, and will promote events through press, releases, social media and signage, and regular updates of the website. The manager will perform light maintenance, cleaning, and food preparation, as well as setting up for events.

ARCH Outreach Worker
The Student will be responsible for contacting all the Island Halls and updating contact information. The student will update the website, and preparing a “How To” manual for halls to use the website features. The student will survey halls to determine priorities for further training and share information regarding best practices, regarding event organizing, promotion, working with volunteers, and other information useful to non-profit rural community halls, such as kitchen and liquor license regulations. The student will assist with the "Rural Routes" block booking project, and its promotion and will share this information with the halls.
Eight weeks (37 hours at $11.25 hour). This position will most likely be based at the Milton Community Hall.
