Friday, September 5th -The Community of Miltonvale Park is pleased to present Cynthia MacLeod and Gordon Belsher in the Friday, September 5th show of their year-long series
“ 2014 Minutes of Story and Song”. The performance starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Milton Community Hall and admission is $10. A light lunch is included.

Saturday September 6th -Photography Class with Alex Corbett - Date: Saturday September 6th 5:30pm. Location (Meet-up area): Confederation Centre of the Arts. This walk is focused on helping people learn, practice and share tips on taking pictures of people. This will include working with natural light and working with flash. Tues Sept 9 -Cornwall Clovers 4-H Club Registration - Cornwall Church between 6:30 -7:30 p.m.

Card Parties continue on Thursdays at 7:30 until Sept 25. Drop in for Coffee Club on Mondays and Fridays at 10:00 a.m.

Mon –Sept. 8 – Larry Krause Concert (and cowboy food!). Larry was the 2012 Saskatchewan Country Roots Artist of the Year!  So what is a cowboy supper? Looks like it will be chili, hot dogs and corn --with s'more squares for dessert.... That's on Monday, Sept 8, at 6:30 -with the Larry Krause concert at 7:30. He was awarded the Roots Traditional Artist for 2012 at the Sask County Music Awards... $8 supper, $12 show or a bargain of $15 for both... Tuesdays, Sept. 9, 16, 23 -Confederation Trail Bike Ride Tuesday 9:00 am for the next three weeks. Meet at the parking lot in Milton, Route 248 (North York River Road). Saturday, September 13  -The Coles family are having a Coles Reunion event on Saturday, September 13 from 1:30-4:30 at the Milton Community Hall. Drop in to view displays, visit, and see the slide show from the last big reunion a few years ago.

Monday -Sept 22  -Tulips- The deadline to order tulips has been extended to Monday -Sept 22 for PEI- grown Vanco tulips – 5 kinds (each ordered separately) Ad Rem – (orange yellow trim, 45 cm, early); Barcelona (pink, 45 cm tall, late), Ile de France (Red, 41 cm, late); Strong Gold (yellow, 35 cm, late), Sunfire (red and yellow, 34 cm, mid-season), White Flag (white, 35 cm, late). $15 bulbs for $6, or 2lbs (about 30 bulbs for $10) Order by Monday Sept 22 for early October delivery. miltoncommunityhall@gmail.com

Thursday, Sept 25 – Communities 13 (APM Centre) Annual General Meeting 6:00 p.m. at the classroom at the APM Centre. All residents of Miltonvale Park are voting members of the APM Center.

Thursday, Oct. 2 – Apple Social – Its fall dessert season! What better way to celebrate fall’s tasty treats than with an Apple Social. Come join us at the Milton Community Hall from 6:00 -7:30 p.m. for everything apple –and other fall desserts. $10 Adults, $5 youth and preschoolers free.

Friday, Oct. 3 – 2014 Minutes of Story and Song – Dennis Ellsworth is ready to treat a packed audience with his talent on October 3rd!  Event starts at 7:00 p.m. at the Milton Community Hall with a light lunch included in the $10 admission. *Please note the earlier-than-usual start time! Seniors Fitness Classes will resume in mid- October.

Monday – November 3 – Municipal elections – There are 6 council seats & one chair position open for nominations at an election meeting to be held at the Milton Community Hall on Nov. 3, for a four year term. To run, you have to have lived in the municipality for one year, be 18 or older and a Canadian citizen. Voters have to be 18, Canadian and residents for 6 months before election day. It is a very interesting way to learn more about the community and its people! Rumors are that several councillors may not be reoffering…. So here is your chance!!  To find out more, contact the Council office.

Song Friday November 7- 2014 Minutes of Story and Song- Acadian soiree with Caroline Bernard, Remi Arsenault, Patricia Richard, Gary Gallant and more! Show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $10. A light lunch is also included in the $10 admission.

The Milton Community Hall is hoping to have Stan Carew and John Campbelljohn back sometime in November – watch for details.
