Vax Passes and masks are still required for all activities at the hall. They are not required to visit the Council Office, food cupboard, washroom or little free library at the hall. The hall also has COVID-19 rapid tests available. The tests from the Red Cross “Stop the Spread” are optional, but if used, they must be taken at the hall (as results must be reported to Red Cross) and are only for adults without symptoms. There are a limited number of rapid tests from another source available to be used off-site.

 Islander Day at the Hall – No Exercise. There will be drawing and line dancing but the fate of Coffee and Tai Chi has yet to be determined.

 Michele’s Chair and Balance Fitness Classes take place on Mondays and Fridays at 9 a.m. (No class on Islander Day). Cost is $5 -and they are available online or in-person at the Milton Hall.  Coffee Club is returning -Mondays and Fridays at 10 a.m. at the Milton Hall. Admission by donation of coin or treats. (Likely no coffee on Islander Day).

 Mindful Movement on the Mat – Tuesdays at 9:00 with Leone and Mindful Movement on the Chair – Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday at 9 a.m. (Feb 24 may be the last Thursday class -so watch for further details. Class can also be taken via Zoom.)

 Recording your Family History & Take-out Lunch for Miltonvale Park Seniors & Milton Hall Supporters on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 12:00 noon at the Milton Community Hall with presenter Pat Steen. The Rural Municipality of Miltonvale Park is hosting its annual Budget Meeting on Wednesday, February 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Milton Community Hall to present a draft budget to residents and landowners. A draft budget will be posted on the website miltonvalepark.com early next week. RSVP by noon on Wednesday to admin@miltonvalepark.com or 902-368-3090 to get online or virtual access to the meeting.

Hot Water Bottle Cover Class- Monday, February 28 at 1:30 p.m. at the Milton Community Hall, 2nd floor. Learn to make a hot water bottle cover and feel the warmth all year long. Miltonvale Park Residents & Friends Talent Show – We are looking for talented local seniors and others to have a community talent show on Sunday, March 20 at 2 p.m. at the Milton Community Hall. Save the date and register your talent. We hope to showcase the talent of local seniors for local seniors – but the show is open to all ages. We are looking for music, singing, skits, dance, and displays of arts and crafts and the show can be a mix of live and virtual performances.  Thanks to those who came out to the Milton Community Hall Annual Meeting on Feb. 15. Thanks were expressed to retiring board members Shanda Rae and Kevin Hooper. The new board includes President James Marjerrison, VP Joyce Blackett, Treasurer Phil Hooper, Secretary Shari MacDonald, Past President Ernie Coles and Directors Phil Jefferson, Pauline Smith and Hal Parker. The North Milton WI rep will be named at the next WI meeting and as well the board can appoint two others to the board , who may or may not live in Miltonvale Park. The constitutional updates were approved to clarify how the audit/review will be handled and to allow electronic participation in meetings. The North Milton WI is collecting period products at the Milton Hall for the month of February as part of the Taking Care of Women's Business! Period. 28 Day Campaign.  All the feminine hygiene products collected will go to food banks across Prince Edward Island. FYI Murphy's Pharmacy will be collecting and matching with their Atoma brand donations that are made at their stores, as well.
